My husband and I moved to NE Missouri in mid-2022 but don’t spend time in Macon. He frequently travels through and had heard that the Pear Tree was good. We had to go to Kirksville, so we stopped on our way home. We will be back many times: Ambiance, amazing staff, and incredible food!! We visited early: 4 pm on a Friday. Because of this, we were able to order off of a special menu which included salad service at the table, our entrees with one side (petite prime rib for him; shrimp Alfredo for me) plus small but decedent desserts at a great value. Our main server, Caiti J, was personable and attentive, but other staff were as well. I think the longest an empty dish remained on our table was 90 seconds. Amazing!!

We always try to stop when traveling from KC to Illinois because the food and service is great! Had the chicken sandwich with a great salad and baked potato. Everything was fresh and delicious. The decorations on the walls are unique and displayed well.

I don’t come here very often but when I do, it is always fantastic. The food is phenomenal. The service is top-notch and you get excellent quality for what you pay. The onion rings are fantastic as is all the food on the menu especially the big salads try the madame french and the restaurant itself is beautiful. planning to come here again in a few weeks for my birthday celebration with a friend and im looking forward to another fantastic meal at one of my favorite restaurants

We were traveling through on our way home to NV. I don't like fast food so we tried here. The food was fresh, plentiful and delicious! I had a salad with grilled chicken, my husband had a burger with jalapenos and my mom had a beef sandwich. Well worth the price!
